Serving Staff Booking Terms

Terms for booking serving staff, including minimum bookings, timings and overtime.

Version 3 · Effective 2026-08-05

10.1 Service description

The quotation states the number of staff, roles, start and finish times, minimum booking period, duties, uniform where applicable, travel arrangements and price. Staff duties are limited to the agreed scope and reasonable event-service tasks.

10.2 Supervision and employment

Alicedda remains responsible for directing its staff. The customer may give reasonable event instructions within the agreed scope, but must not treat staff as its employees, require unsafe or unlawful work, or make discriminatory, abusive or harassing requests.

10.3 Safe workplace

The customer and venue must provide safe access, suitable facilities, relevant induction, breaks, drinking water, and protection from violence, harassment and unsafe conditions. We may withdraw staff where there is an immediate serious risk, without limiting rights to payment for work and reasonable losses where the customer or venue caused the risk.

10.4 Hours, delays and overtime

If the event runs beyond the agreed finish time, additional time is subject to staff availability and the overtime rate stated in your quotation or booking confirmation. We will seek approval where practical. Time needed because of customer or venue delay may be chargeable where fair and clearly connected to the delay.

10.5 Breaks and welfare

Staff will receive legally required and reasonable breaks. Break arrangements may be coordinated with the event schedule but cannot be removed where that would be unlawful or unsafe.

10.6 Cancellation and reduction

Staff bookings are capacity commitments. Cancellation or reduction is assessed under the Cancellation Policy, taking account of commitments and whether the staff can reasonably be reassigned. We will not retain more than a fair amount connected to actual loss.

10.7 Customer property and gratuities

Customers should secure valuables. Alicedda is responsible for foreseeable loss caused by its breach or negligence, subject to applicable law. Tips are voluntary and should not be used to replace agreed pay or charges.
